Hi louisa, i dont know if it helps at all, but i didnt go to the toilet, properly until day 8!!! which was unbearable, painful, and made me soo tearful and emaotional…i also suffer with ibs, (irritable bowel syndrome) which didnt help at all, but after takin probably 4 senokot and other tabs daily as from day 2 it eventually helped…i was in pain, was swoellen, all around my tummy, and so so bloated…but it did help in long run…hope it begins to ease for you soon, cos with everything else that we go through it doesnt help, and yes it does make us very emotional x x x

Louisa i was very bloated after my op, and i’ve read that i lot of people are! Mine lasted around 9 days or so, because i had a wedding to go to on day 9 and i remember having to try really hard to keep my tummy pulled in so i didn’t look pregnant!!!! Normally my tummy is quite flat. My tummy wasn’t painful tho’ – do you think you might have a bit of constipation (sorry i know thats not a nice subject) maybe worth taking some Senokot? xx

Sorry dear.. I think you should call the emergency nurse. I feel really sorry for you and hope for the best. I think you better stop crying and be optimistic.. If you stay positive, you might feel better. Call your nurse, clean your body and wear some makeup.

Give your nurse a call, and im sure she will put your mind at rest. Remember you body has been put through a lot that it’s not use to.

    Hey
Don’t panic, im sure it’s nothing.
I had a swollen tummy but mine was solid and slightly painful, unfortunately i had to take laxatives to cure mine. It might be worth getting some and seeing if this is the problem, give it a couple of days then if there is no change call the nurse. Also drink plenty of liquid water is best if you don’t mind it and if you have one place a warm hot water bottle on your tummy this may also help x x x
