Just wondered if any postop girls can help – I’m having a panic.

Im 13 days post op – still not allowed showers so I’m still ‘washing’ with baby wipes. Today i’ve noticed i have little red spots all over my boobs, some are bigger like you would get on your face and look like they may get a head on them. I know this is really yukky but I need some help. Do you think constantly having my macom on with them squished together is making them too hot? Did this happen to anyone else? Please help girls.

Don’t worry hun, my skin was really shitty from not washing too. It’ll clear up, I’m sure. Maybe try using a flannel, sop and water and washing that way? x

I’m 10 days PO and have been having shallow baths since day 3, and splashing my chest to wash it, should I not be doing that!? Dr Adamo was happy for me to have showers from day 1 (except we don’t have a shower..) so ive never used wipes… He also doen’t like us to wear Macom or any bras, except a sports bra to go out… Had no skin problems yet. Maybe it’l come. Really veiny boobs though! Eughhh!!

My nurse told me no baths until after 6 weeks! She said it was cos of sitting in dirty water, incase of infection!

I had the same and they would not go away! I m not a stranger to a bit of acne but this wasn’t like acne. I went to doc and was told it was a follicle infection and was given anti biotic that alone did not shift the spots so then I was given Fucidin cream. This worked a treat! The spots totslly disappeared in a few days. hope this helps! X

I had very very shallow baths until my 1 week PO check and then the nurse let me shower. I just used a clean flannel and washed my chest. Kept well away from incisions to avoid infection. I have a tendency to get spots to wanted to keep clean. TCP might help as its an antiseptic x

Chellebelle sorry this is off topic for this post but if you try my pics you should be able to see them now ill be putting more up without tape tomorrow xx

I was told the reason they ask us not to wash is because there’s still bacteria in the water that could cause infection even if its clean water from the shower/tap.

I’m not going to take the risk, I’m so clumsy I’ll probably slip and get them soaked on my 1st day! x
