i cant get 2 weeks off work and my p.c said ill need 2 weeks as im a carer. we need a doctors note for anything over 2 days now as work is super strict boss is intimadating so dont want to tell her what am getting done
please give me advise xxxx
can i ask you a question?? is she not going to notice youve had it done anyway??? sorry but just asking?? x
hahaha omg i never even thought of that !! i shouldnt thing so as are tops are quite baggy and we can were cardis etc if we want xxx
I really think all you need to say hun is you are having a personal operation that you really don’t want to discuss. But say you will have a doctors note. That way she cant kick off. And just prepare yourself for her to be a cow. Some women can be utter shits but don’t feel you need to tell her at all. If you say its personal that should be enough. She cant fire you legally! just when you go back do your best to cover it up..ie cardigans etc as to not make it so obvious. Unless your having 800!lol You must must must take the two weeks off!!! I am so glad I am as no way would have felt better to go back next week. xxx
I said to my work I pulled my back out and had to just blag it to the doctors that my back was really bad and she signed me off, my work didn’t notice but I’ve been wearing baggy clothes xx
were would i get the doctors note from ? and wouldnt that say i had a boob job ? xxxx
When you go for your pre op they will ask you if they can tell your gp and I said no so my doctor didn’t even know I’d had it done I just said I’d pulled my back out and my job is heavy lifting so don’t think I can go in for a couple of weeks and she signed me off with back pains. I know it wasn’t the right thing to do I just really didn’t want to be the talk of work xx
ahhh right that seems like a good idea as when i go back i can only do ‘light duties’ so if they think i pulled my back they would understand
can u give me tips on faking back pains to doc hahaha xxxx
my surgeon was lovely and said that he would do a doctors note for me and not put what it was for. Im seeing him Friday for check up and will see what he puts on it and let you know. My work were not to bad with me and didn’t say I had to show them the doctors note. But I wanted to check I could get one just incase when I am back they want to see it. Just say to her that you are happy to get a doctors note does she need to see it urgently or after your op?
If your surgeon doesnt do you one. Then I would totally go to the doctors either 1.be honest and tell them. 2. make out you are mentally and physically stressed and need time off. 3. you have an awful back from pulling it at work and blag it.?? xxx
When i went for my consultation they told me my surgeon will give me a sick note and it will jusst say i had an operation it wont have mya on it and it wont say what ive had done. I told my work im having a personal op and would need a week or 2 off. X
Tell them you have chickenpox which are contageous. You rang the dr’s office and they told you to stay away from their office and others for 2 weeks.
I have the same dilemma, my new boss is a man who is new to being a manager, he has been picking on me quite a lot – pushing me to do more sales, observing me and giving me sad faces on them all. I don’t want to tell him because he has been a dick about everything else so he is going to be a dick about time off in the jan sales. I feel your pain!
I’ve got Mr F on the 19th he said hed give me a certificate to take to work if needed so ask ure surgeon n he said it would say what op I had just that I had an op in the end as I work in a school I booked the last two days off with a letter from the surgeon that I’m having op not what for got them two days as special leave x x
Tell her to get stuffed. You can self cert for 7 calender days, so most Dr’s will only give you a fit note as of day 8 anyway! Just be careful, you are thinking it is all going to go brilliantly, what are you going to tell her if you get an infection and need to go back to the clinic etc etc. Always think worst case scenario, AND you should never book anything until you have had confirmation from your manager that you can have the time off, THEN tell them it’s for an op so they can’t change their minds. x
