Hey honey, yeh I’m fine thanks. Just had a bit of a down day today.

I look in the mirror & it’s not me staring back..freaked me out a bit. Plus

I can’t breathe through my nose at all so it’s making sleeping difficult!

That said ..I’m still not regretting it and am sure as time goes on the

uncomfortable-ness will get less & less.

How are u feeling today? I’m with u on the boredom factor! It’s only been

2 days & I’m climbing the walls. Might sneak out early doors tomo morning

& take my dog for a little walk. Reckon the fresh air will do me good :-)

Has ur appetite come back yet? Not that I’m complaining about the prospect

of losing weight but I’m not hungry at all. Maybe it’s the medication?

Hope your coping ok honey xxx

Hey Hun I’m almost 2 weeks PO and the swelling is totally normal. The worst days of recovery I found was day 2-4 because I was so fed up and bored but hang in there. Day 5 onwards youl start to feel more yourself and after you get the stitches out the rest of the days fly by! Taking dog for a walk is a really good idea. Most people don’t really stare and if they look they assume Youv broken your nose of something so getting fresh air will do you a lot of good! If you need any help in the next few days, and have any questions feel free to message me. Good luck girlies, I promise you Itl fly past! Xxx

Oooh and I felt the same about not recognising myself in the Murrow but just think you have a plaster covering your face, swelling, bruising and unwashed hair. Don’t rely on what you see now because Itl be totally different when your all dressed up an the cast is off! I got really worried and was concerned I made a mistake and kept looking at old pics thinking oh god what if I made a mistake. But mr g is amazing so I can assure you youl get your perfect nose, just try and avoid the mirrors for a while lol xx

Oh Hun, you are hitting the wall! It it really horrible around day 3 or 4. The combination of lack of real sleep and the after effects of the general anisthetic take their toll.

It will get better, have a lovely duvet day, watch a sad film and have a good old wallow!

    Happy healing x :D

I really do not know where i would be without all you gorgeous girlies on here!

Every time I feel down or have a panic attack, so many people rally round to cheer

    me up again.

So just wanted to say a BIG BIG THANK YOU!

Also, totally agree with what u all say. Still swollen & blocked up today

but not panicking about it anymore. As Mr G said…patience is your best

friend for the next few months :-) Plus I’m only day 3 post op so can’t expect miracles!

Happy healing to everyone too xxx

yeah everyone here is so helpfull a god send! And they answer all your worries quicker than your PC can!

I wish I didnt have my apetite hun lol its like eating is the one thing I look forward to out of boredom, I must admit though not having sense of smell has put me off eating some things though or i dont fancy them as much but im still eating plenty :/ lol. When I first came round and the first day the thought of eating made me feel violently sick though!

Yeah it doesnt take long for the boredom to set in does it :(

I think ive definately hit the wall Abigail had a terrible nights sleep last night I get worked up and frustrated and just dont know what to do! Keep thinking to my self be positive it will all be worth it…but then I worry myself thinking but what if my old nose is still underneath lol.

Good to hear how youre getting on Allyxox your nose is gorgeous! Do you feel completely back to normal now?

I had a day yesterday where I literally could not stop laughing it was the weirdest thing i think its cos i know i prob shouldnt laugh too much in fear of ruining my nose lol but my boyfriend made me laugh and then I had to leave the room and said in all seriousness ‘honestly astop it now because youre going to crack my nose ok’ and stormed off that then made us laugh more cos we could hear each other giggling from the other room and I actually tried to hold my face still so it wouldnt crease when I laughed lol. I dont know if anyone else has this problem but im so scared ill ruin it but my family are always joking and messing around and I have to leave the room! lol

Hope youre having a better day today Jills3 .. i feel like for me every day untill that cast comes off will be a bit of a down day! Especially a weekend like now when everyone is going out .. Boo :( xxxx

Once that cast comes off you will be delighted, couldn’t stop grinning and kept looking at myself in shop windows like a right vain cow!

Laughing wont do you any harm, I remember my first sneeze, thought my nose would fall off!! I kept blowing my nose too, very gently but caught a cold, didn’t seem to do any harm!

I’m so excited for you getting your casts off in the next few weeks, let us know how you feel, I found even having the stitches out cheered me up! X
