Help please post op ladies….

im 8days post op now, had dressings changed today and nurse said im healing beautifully

forgot to ask when i can have a proper shower… how long did you wait until you had shower without dressings on?

also did anyone use scar reduction silicone strips or cover scars with anything from 1 week post op

thanks babe its confusing because everyone says different! when i went to different company about my boobs they sed because of the dressings the surgeon uses you can shower immediately after!!!

but yh i think ill just wait til 2 weeks to be certain!

i had my first shower today 14 days post op however i did take my dressing off as a had small dressing reapplied at 7days post op.was weird i was scared getting my bobs wet lol x

hi, i went yesterday for 1 wk check up and said ok to have a shower now,had dressing taken off and nothing was put back on the incisions nurse just said healing nicely.xx

I was told its ok to have shower after 1 week! x

see its all confusing lol! i think ill just wait ive been having shallow baths soo ill just stick too that for another week! thanks girls x

I was the same as twinkle tho i had post op check 10 days then jumped into the shower and got them wet it was lovely seeing the water run off boobs lol ;)x

You’re fine to shower as soon as your bandages / dressings are off, you will prob have scar strips, they r pretty good n stay on for even a couple of showers..

More importantly though, don’t get any soap or shampoo near your scars coz it might irritate them! Apart from that you’re fine hun xx

Best to check Hun, but I had shallow bath (with help) from day 4 and shower at day 9, the strips they put on r waterproof.

But the best thing to do which my nurse told me was to have a separate towel for your boobs and gently dry them as soon as u get out then once u have dried the rest of your body get your hair dryer and put it on a low heat and gently dry your incision’s just to make sure.

thanks girls. they didnt put any scar strips on as they are healing really well. just put dressing on to stop anything rubbing them. argghhhh dunno what to do! to shower or not to shower hahaha x

I was told I can shower after my 1 week check but don’t soak in the bath. Also I used savlon wound wash stuff after and use a hair dryer on a cool setting to dry the scars or dab dry witj a towel rather than rub them dry xxx

i seen a nurse for my 1st week check and she said i can havw a shower or bath now and i seen my surgeon when i was 10 days po and he said i could wazh the insisions properly now so i have been doing and they are fine xx

what surgeons did you have x

i dint end up going with mya i went with nu cosmwtics and had maurizio persico xx
