Hi Kirsty, I had my operation yesterday afternoon and asked my surgeon how long that pen stays on for and he said whatever didn’t come off during the operation (with whatever cleaning fluid they put on to sterilise you) then leave it and your nurse will get it off for you on your 7 day post op appointment (or 11 days in my case due to bank holiday!)
I am strapped up though so bank see if there is any left only one little rank below the strapping where he has drawn down the middle to make sure centre is in line with my belly button!
