HELP SMOKING

i have my opp on the 22nd and i cant stop smoking! iv cut down from like 20 a day to like 7-8 a day but i cant completly stop! ‘(

Have you tried them patch thinks you can get to help,xxx

yeah iv got them but the nurse told me not to use them? xx

well what are you supposed to do honey,I thought they were safer than smoking.xxx

i am in the same situation and having my ba on the 23rd. stay away from people who smoke as they will be ur biggest tempters. buy NiQuitin minis cherry flavor from boots. they have nicotine in them, but they’re better than cigarettes. have one every time u crave. change ur usual routine is very important. i.e. i used to have a cigarette before breakfast, now i eat straight away and distract urself with a book or T.V or go online. don’t drink alcohol as it will lower ur will power. Also think the worst, if u don’t quit, u could risk getting blood clots which could find their way to ur brain and cause a brain tumor. i don’t know if that is 100% true, but try to believe it anyway. if ur also addicted to the action of smoking, buy an electric cigarette. they are great. u inhale 10% natural aromas, NO nicotine and u blow out smoke and the end glows. i will look for the website when i get home, but i got it from brussels, which is where i am now, they’re €19 and u charge them off a usb which is provided in the packet… good luck hunny, and don’t worry, ur not alone, i still give in to the temptations every now and again! xx

i struggled to stop, cut right down for a week or so before my op but then just carried on…if the surgeon asks if you have stopped, just say yes! They don’t test your nicotine levels or anything like that xx

i carried on smoking 2 hun, have tried to cut down after my ba but very hard dont worry 2 much hun xxx
