Help so worried I've moved something!!!

Had my op a few days ago! I twitched my nose out of habit and could feel it hit against my cast. Obviously I could feel it as it is still very swollen since my operation and all that. It wasn’t anything major but I could feel it! But am now wondering if it shouldn’t have been touched at all!! And if I’ve moved something or changed the shape. Has anyone else done anything like this or sneezed etc and feel like they’ve done damage. Have I done damage lol??!! So worried! Xx

dont worry shivered one night and it shook my whole head and worse of all my nose BIG TIME lol i thought thats it, its gone wonky but believe me theres no a twitch will do anything the cast is on tight and its hard plastic for a reason! you cant help but move your face the nurse told me it wont do any damage only thing that would do dammage if you hit your nose really hard! my cast has been off a week now and iv hit my nose not too hard but hard enough where i was crying iv ruined it but it hasnt lol! xxx

Hey hun, im pre op so cant help too much but this is something i worry about doing as i twitch my nose sometimes out of habit!! Im sure its fine hun but you could ring the MYA nurse if your unsure.. How does it feel now your not in any pain or anything? xxxx

Omg thank god!! Thanks Rinaule I was literally freaking out all of last nyt! I felt like I had pushed my tip in or something as soon as it hit the cast ha! Layla… I’m going to the nurse on Thurs to take my stiches out so will ask then. I’m not in pain just nose still feels swollen and bruised etc as it has done since the op! Think its all normal tho not in pain! Just got worried as to how much you can actually move your nose and that! Xxx

thats ok! no pain is normal iv never heard anyone to be in pain i wasnt anyway its more having a bad cold isnt it? i knocked my cast loads when it was on just make sure you dont punch your or sometthing ha, just try your best to be careful! the only sort of pain i have had tho is when i get a sharp shooting pain thru my nose it last 1 second and lastnight i flinched and moved all my muscles around my nose wow that hurt it feels funny today now but looks fine xx

Yea actually does feel lke I’ve got a bad cold! Maybe just a bit uncomfortable sometimes but that’s about it! I get a shaarp pain sometimes as well near my sitches but got told it was normal! So hopefully I haven’t damaged anything at all! I definitely need to stop stressing out about every little thing haha!! Xxx

its all fine believe me i had sickness bug was sick loads and i fainted 3 times so i wouldnt worry my nose came out fine ha! its normal to worry about everything tho,you need to really so you wont do anything silly. before the op i must of hit my nose so many times even just straighting my hair the wire hit my nose, then i worried about eeverthing and never hit it unless i moved my hand near my face thats the only time and it wasnt hard! but dont worry tooooo much where your hair starts falling out xxx

i twitched my nose loads too and it thorbbed after, its cool, ull only damage it if u hit it hard xxx

Thats exactly what it felt for me too… Did u ask the nurse or anything? Have you had your cast off now? How you feeling now?… I was really stressing I’d moved it this mrning. Xx

yeah cast is off now hun. erm…. yeah i love the shape of the nose, im just majorly swollen and brusied, prob more than i expected which is a bummer but that is nothing to do with dr G’s work, hes done a lovely job, i guess ive just been a bit unlucky with swelling straight away xxxx

That’s what I’m thinking that my swelling will be quite bad as it is now. I’m so sensitive on my face ha! Just hope I haven’t moved it by me twitching/sneezing lol!! Xx

btw throbbing is all normal usually stops when cast is off xxx

Well i think where the nurse got a bit excited and ripped my cast off my face has left me with a purple bruise across the top of my bridge which is a bit of a bummer so I have that to deal with too ! xxx
