Help, sticky-ness after bandages

when i had my strips off they gave me these wipes which took the sticky mess straight off!1 the nurse had a stash of them! X

Yeah joanne ive tried that, seemed to have worked it almost all gone only a little bit left.x

hey have you tried one of those things you use to exfoliate, cant think what the called lol they are like a round string ball, my hubby just put a little soap on and gently rubbed it and it came off ok x

Yeah the nurse used some of that, but it didnt seem to make much difference. Seems a lot better today now, and the oil worked.x

omg that stuff was gross i was picking it off for so long to come! couldnt imagine a day when it wasnt there.. makes u feel so gross on top of everything! my nurse gave me packets of wipes called zopf which is to get that stuff off, u could ask ur nurse or in a big boots or something im sure theyl have! x

Only 10 days post op myself, measuring at 36dd at the moment, had 34dd on 2day after bandages but was too tight and marked me i had 410cc unders. Dont go bk to work til the 1st march, cant imagine anyone will notice, as work uniform is just a jumper n tshirt.
Never thought of that Lizzie i will try anything to get rid of this stickyness.x

Ah YES surgical spirit on a cotton wool ball. I’ll get some surgical spirit as first try before I move onto mayonnaise!

Surgical spirit removes sticky plaster marks off the skin, but make sure you do not get it on your incisions! xx

ooh might check there, before they close down!! got a couple from primani and one from asda, they’re ok – don’t want to spend too much on them if I can help it. saving mhy pennies for some nice underwear! I’m only 10 days post op I had 385cc unders, was hoping for a 32D but bought 34D bras – but my boobs look huge! just getting used to them at the mo I suppose. went back to work today and no-one noticed (luckily)!! what are your stats? x

Hi can anyone help, just had my bandages off 2day and they liked me a little 2 much i think, im covered in the adhesive off the bandages. Tried baby oil to get it off with very little success. Any ideas will be much apprepciated. Also where im scars are am i allowed to clean them with just water, or am i best just leaving them and just laying in a bath.

Nail varnish remover seemed my best bet, searched on the internet for it and said use alcohol. so u cud always try that.x

i’ve had the same problem, what a pain! my other half was trying to get it off my back and sides with a flannel and I was almost bleeding by the end my skin was red raw. it’s all over my sports bras too, i’ve tried washing them and can’t get the bloody stuff off! how annoying. any tips? I’ve tried washing up liquid as that’s usually good getting stickers off bottoms of shoes but that didn’t work. i’ve had to go out and buy a new bra to wear while I try to sort the other two out! N x

I would try mayo but i got a phobia of it,lol will try the talc. Put some bio oil and it seems to have helped it loads better. Thanx Clare and Josiejo.x

you should use talc … it wont get it off straight away but it will dry out the stickyness, xxx

I know this may sound really odd but you could try mayonnaise? It gets price stickers off everything and I know these big sticky things are REALLY sticky but it’s worth a go??

well i have got the thick of it off well i should say my mam has, using nail varnish remover then going over with soap and water. Thanx for ur help.x

I was all bandaged up and it took ages to get the stickness off I just kept using bio oil, face wipes soap and water everything really lol I was picking at the glue all the time it does come off eventually but it took a few days unfortunately xx
