Help- taking strapping off

Hey girls, after I had my opp the nurse told me to take the strapping off in 4 days (today) I rang up and spoke to the nurse at mya and she said only take the top bit off the strapping off and not all of it incase I pull off the bandage over my incisions. So I’m being told two different things as usual, how did you girls get it off without ripping the ones over the incisions? Looks like to going to be so painful aswel 🙁

Oh dear I shall be in trouble then haha! I just peeled it off really gently… Hold down your incision one whilst peeling te other one off.. It should come off without pulling the other one! Mine came off really easy and didn’t hurt at all just take your time and try not to stress. Xxx

Haha! I just left some bandage on top of the incision incase it came off. Mines on Saturday hun when’s yours? I think we do hun xxx

Hey Lucia, I’ve still got some sticky stuff on but I think a baby wipe will do it xxx

I tried baby wipes, make up remover wipes, face cleaner with alcohol in it, but nothing worked. I look as I’m dirty, hahahaha. 2moro is my post op check up, so hopefully I will be allowed shower… xxxx

I only had one long piece of strapping, took it off on day 4, seemed to come off really easily. On day 7 today and only discomfort is wear my bra rubs against my steri strips. I will be happy to get the stitches out on friday. Have you tried baby oil to get the sticky bits off? x

Baby oil works a treat 🙂 put a bit on cotton wool and just wipe it on the sticky bits xx
