After years of wanting it done, I have finally gone through with the consultation. I met Mr Adamo today (really lovely man who made me feel sooooo comfortable). I now have the dilemma of which size do I go for… I am 5ft 6… just under 10 stone and am currently a 36b (on a good day).. he has said I can have 400 or the 460’s overs … I don’t want to look too big but I also do not want to be wishing I’d gone bigger. ideally I would like to be a D – DD.. any idea’s which one would be the better option? My surgery is on the 25th Aug so i have a while to decide but I’m not sure what to do… all comments greatly received.x

no i didn’t, to be honest i need to go back to work, plus i have 2 children to sort out for school 1 week after my surgery so overs will be ideal for me as it is meant to be so much less painfull and a quicker recovery… what bra size are you currently if you don’t mind me asking?

hi ladyluck, i am very similar stats to you at 5ft 7″ and weigh 10 stone, dress size 10/12. Pre-op i use to wear a 36b (but now realise that i should have been wearing a 34b) and Mr Adamo offered me 410cc or 460cc overs (i said that i wanted to be a small d cup). To be honest i worried that they might have been too big, and asked for the next size down, so i had 380cc overs instead. I am now wearing a 34e and very happy with them :-) x

Hi tammy, you’ve just reminded me that he said exactly the same to me about being a 34, when he said it i disagreed as i tend to put weight on my back where its so broad and i would know if my bra’s were tight as i used to wear a 38 when i was about half a stone heavier. After i read your message i measured myself and he was right lol.. i’m shocked as i am so paranoid about my fat back which i’ve always obsessed about which makes my boobs look smaller, that is another reason i didn’t want to go too large as i didn’t want to look fat..

How long ago did you have yours done Tammy as i have heard they get bigger as they are swollen but then they shrink and the problem is that people get used to the swollen size which is why they notice when they settle?

also, are you wearing a sports bra as he said that you don’t have to…. so now i’m confused about that as well… aaargh… decisions… :-)

hi again ladyluck, Mr Adamo did my in August 2009. He did say that i didn’t have to wear a sports bra unless i felt more comfortable with one on. To be honest, they did feel quite heavy at first, so i did wear one most of the time. I went into a 36dd sports bra, and after all the swelling had gone down i went into 34e underwire bras. x
