Help with Deposit – Advice needed!

I paid my deposit for BA on 28 September – Cleared from my bank on 30 September – unfortunately due to a very bad case of financial difficulty im going to have to TRY and get this deposit back…..

i phoned on the morning of the 8th October ( 7 and half days) after id paid the deposit and they said no to having it back……

I really really need it back as it would help me a lot….

is there anyway at all mya head office will make an exception?

I doubt it hun tbh….thats why they ask for a deposit. You could ask to speak to a manager and try to explain your situation but i dont think you’ll have much luck tbh babe xxx

Im sure my old co-ordinator said if i cancel within good time i got my deposit back, i think its just to sacure you bed so no one else can have it. x

thanks xxmooxx thats what i thought….. i mean i wasnt even having the op until april next year… and those dates arent even released so technically ive paid £500 for nothing at the minute (as i dont even have a preliminary date) they just said when the dates come in for april ill have first pick…

do you think i stand a chance if i mention the fact that i dont have a date?

Well thinking back on what my Co-ordinator told me im sure you can, but best to ring them first and make sure i could be wrong.

but if you havent even been given a date and you havent booked you bed then there may be hope lol

I got the impression you could have your depoist back if it was within a reasonable amount of time, I’m sure my PC gave me some paper work stating what I had to pay depending on when or if I changed my mind…..plus april is way off so I cant see how they can refuse to be honest. xx

i got told after you pay deposit you get 7 days cooling period and after that you can’t get your deposit back, but i agree they should give you it back xx
