Have you tried a hot water bottle wedged between you and the V pillow? I think your back gets bad because you are sleeping and sitting totally differently and using other muscles to compensate – I also went out for some little walks and that took my mind off it too and seemed to loosen it up. Back ache is really horrible, you poor thing. xx

i hate it, thats whats hurting the most to be honest and doesnt help that my tape is so tight !! will try that, just hard trying to nap when u r so uncomfortable. thanks hun xx

I didn’t have tape, but I had a surgical bandage round me 24/7 that just got tighter and tighter as the day wore on. Makes you wonder what they actually did to you once you were under the anaesthetic, doesn’t it? The only feeling I could equate it to was having been in a car crash!! I was so squashed. xx

hey hun u may find its your posture thats causing the back problmens i had bad back pain before and after my tape was removed, its natural to hunch over after your opp its as if your protecting your new assests i recommend trying your best to keep good posture as much as possible xx

The worst bit of the op for me was the back ache from sitting up! In the end I slept on the settee with a duvet underneath me as well as 2 bed pillows and v pillow behind me and another pillow in gap of v pillow with a hot water bottle in it, the hot water bottle was a life saver and tho didn’t rid me of the pain, took the edge off it!

I’m almost five weeks now and lying flat again (ahhhhhh) wanting to lie on side now! Xxxx
