:bigsmile:hi girls ,my daughter had her Ba,on the 23rd oct at parkhill doncaster ,with mr kazzazi.
Op went extremely well she had 340 unders.
Although the pain in general is bearable ,my daughter found the muscle spasms and cramps rather uncomftable .
I know the clinic only suggests ibuprofen and paracetamol after the op,i could not resist giving her a tablet called buscopan ,which is for period pain and cramps ,these can be bought over the counter from boots (but be sly and tell them they are for period pains lol). And believe me they helped her immensly. As far as i know they can be taken along side pain killers ,but as with all medicines ,please dont forget to look at the directions fr taking first or google them before buying as they may not suit everyone.good luk to all the girls that are booked for Ba`s ,i hope it makes you as happy as its made my daughter

Hi All, We would just like to add a comment on this discussion. Buscopan is ONLY licensed to be used for abdominal relief weather that be a spasm or pain. Buscopan has unwanted side effects such as blurred vision, increased heart rate and urinary retention. Although it is good to share information, when related to drugs and medication, healthcare advise should be sort after by a medical practitioner. In this case you can contact your MYA nurse. You should only take medication as recommended or proscribed by your MYA consultant.
    Thank you.

Hi in response to the moderator ,i do apologise for the above post ,but i was given buscopan initially for leg cramps ,and as they can now be bought over the counter ,i didnt think they could be a big risk, the other pain killers that my daughter was given also have side effects, but as my daughter was only sent home wi one type of painkiller intead of two as requested by her mya nurse ,i had to do something to help her pain ,Once again sorry for the miss information
