ok, so im booked in for 15th march Dr Aurakzai, 410cc’s hp, this is all i’ve ever wanted, i’ve never been scared but over the last couple of days i just feel terrified, i feel really sad too and i’m months away, im scared im choosing the wrong size, i was told i was having “Dual Plane” which i thought i understood as “partials” turns out there not the same so im confused about that now too, i’ve even been having nightmares about not waking up after GA and locking my self in a box cos i didn’t like the result. I’ve seen the surgeon twice and i’m happy with him, im not sure whats causing me to feel so bad? Has anyone else felt like this?

oh yes this is quite normal hun dont worry you will be fine your in good hands, the dr told me i would have more chance of having a car crash than not waking up from the GA if that helps.

ask the dr what dual plan is he will explain and also tell you why you are having them that way as i am not sure what that means either

good luck and keep us posted x x

Hey Christine, I have just copied and paste this from google. I believe this is partials?? Dual Plane – The implant exists both under and over the muscle at the same time, creating a dual plane approach. This muscle covers the upper half or so of the implant, leaving the bottom of the implant free to descend into the subglandular breast pocket.

The muscle helps to hold the upper half of the implant firmly against the chest wall, creating a natural sloping contour without the “obviously enhanced” look which is characterized by an overly rounded top section. The lower half of the implant drops into the subglandular space creating a realistic bottom contour which features the natural roundness and movement of an organic breast, with the added benefit of additional fullness. Quite simply, this approach is very aesthetically pleasing and is noted for often creating perfect breasts in many patients.

Did you ask for it to be very natural without that typical rounded look at the top? x

Hey thanks, i was told i was getting unders using the dual plane method, i guessed it was partials and was looking on google but then i came accross this…..

This technique involves the creation of a pocket below the pectoralis major muscle in which the implant will be placed. A second, smaller pocket is created between the muscle and the above glandular tissue, usually up to about the level of the nipple or upper border of the areola (the pigmented skin around the nipple). Nothing is placed in this pocket, but the separation of tissues serves to separate the tighter muscle with the overlying stretched breast tissue to permit the implant to better fill out the lower pole of the breast, thus preventing the “double-bubble” deformity as described above. The dual plane technique adds an additional ten minutes to the procedure, but can make all the difference in obtaining a beautiful, natural augmentation as opposed to a poor, unnatural look.

it think i’ve just looked into it too much, i’m having my pre op tommorow so i will have to ask.

god help me when i only have days to go, i’ll be even worse, and thanks for the car crash/GA statistics xxxx

hi hunn, dual plane is partials as far as i’m aware. What your feeling is totally normal, i was totally petrified before my op and starting shaking on the way down to theatre, i was on the verge of passing out! but HONESTLY from someone who’s now been through it, it’s no way as bad as you think it’s going to be :) you’ll have the boobs of your dreams post op and your in good hands..you’ve worked hard for this so just try and relax and enjoy the ride xxx
