hematoma or bruise ??

hiya girls since my ba last tuesday where my plasters are felt bruised i thought that was normal ? yesterday i had an odd pain that made me feel sick instantly it dissapeared within 5 mins or so though so didnt think much of it , then today iv noticed a reddish bruised patch above the white plaster but still within the clear adhesive kinda worried now !! any thoughts help please dee xx

I had and still have (12 days PO) really bad bruising (I bruise really easy anyway), so I would say this is probably normal – deffo worth calling the nurse if you’re worried though. x

I’ve got my post op tomorrow,going to mention it then and see what the nurse says.

a haematoma is basically a really really bad bruise. You usually notice considerable swelling around the area when its a haematoma cos the area is filling with blood.
