Hey all, just to say a massive thankyou to all the girls who have supported me on here for the last 11 weeks you have been an amazing help. Heres my story………….
Woke up at 4:30am yesterday morning, couldnt sleep because i was so excited. So got up had a bath, got ready and went through my bag to check i had everything. MYA transport picked us (my sister and friend) at 6:30 and we made our way to manchester arrived there at half 9, an hour early than expected, was meant to be there at half ten. So we had to wait half an hour for a room to be ready then a lovely man took my bags to my room, a nurse came round straight away and said there would be a little wait as Dr Traynor had 15 operations that day and he was very busy, was a bit gutted because i didnt want to be sitting waiting around as im so impatient. Anyways the nurse done all my blood pressure, weight etc… then told me Dr Traynor would be around soon, then the anaethetist.
Literaly 10 minutes later Dr Traynor came round, was realy lovely, marked me up and said as he was leaving that he would let everyone know i was here and that he would soo me soon, so i was like thats a bit random if i wasnt getting them done for a few hours yet???? The anaethetist came round and asked a few questions then left. A little while later just sitting in my room laughing and joking about when a lady came to my room and asked me if i was ready for theatre, i was like “what, when, now” she then started laughing and said “yes now”, all of a sudden i was so nervous i couldnt believe it was all happening so quick. My sister and friend walked me to the lift and gave each cuddles then i went in the lift with the lady and she took me to a little room where a nurse was waiting for me, I looked at the clock and it was only 11:25, i couldnt believe how early it was. The nurse was lovely asked me a few questions, stuck some wierd sticker things on my back, took my blood pressure then the anaetetist came in and put that thing in my hand, kept on saying “Your a very brave girl” which just made me laugh and made me feel like ten again. He then said my hand my go a bit cold i felt like a sharp pain and some coldness, i can remember saying ow and then thatw as it i was fast asleep. I woke up in recovery feeling a bit drowsy but ok, i kept asking the nurses if my boobs looked big lol. Looked at the clock in recovery and it was 12:30, couldnt believe it was all over so quick. They put this funny big heated blanket on me as i got the shakes afterwards it was lovely, they done some blood pressure things and then i was taken back to my room. My sister and friend were still out when i was taken back to my room as the nurse said id be away for a couple of hours. Can remember just falling a sleep loads and being drowsy but there was no pain at all, ate my lunch which was a cheese sandwich and salad and cup of tea. Needed a bit of help getting in and out of bed at first but was fine later on, couldnt believe how fine i felt. In the afternoon my sister wiped me down and put my sports bra on, i didnt think it would fit i thought it would be far to big its a 34e, we put it on and it fits perfectly. To be 100% honest i was a bit disapointed at first as i didnt think they looked very big at all but i know i just have to be patient. Ive had 410cc and 460cc`s overs from a 32 a/b. Anyways getting on with the story, spent the rest of the day resting not in any pain at all, had chicken pie for tea then chocolate cake was amazing. Went to sleep at half 9 but must have woke up about 7 times in the night, all the nurses were amazing couldnt do enough for you especialy a woman called jessy she was so nice. At 6am woke up in a bit of pain so she gave me some codeine and it made me sleep which was great, the porter woke me up at 8am with my breakfast, didnt eat much just had some tea. Felt very stiff this morning getting up but was ok once i got moving. The 2 and a half hour journey home was fine, just my bums realy numb at the moment. The driver was lovely too. Cant believe its all over just like that, i can honestly say its all been a lovely experience and im realy happy, just hoping ill recover well. Oh my god this storys gone on forever, ah well just to let all the girls know who are waiting to have there op that ive had a brilliant experience with MYA and im realy happy with my boobs. (At the min that is lol) Ive got my pictures up on sofem so if you wana see just pm me and ill send you the password. Well im guna watch the tv for a bit and probablys have a snooze. x x x x x x
