I dont understand what the difference is between high profile and low profile. Are they just other words used for unders and overs? I’m confused!
No Hun over n under is for where the implant is placed. High profile is a more projection look where low profile is more round n low down. For more natural look they say high profile U having a consultation? U will see diff implants then
I have a consultation tomorrow. I am a 34b hoping to go to a dd. I want a more natural look but want them to have a bit of movement and able to push together! High profile is more natural? xx
Yeah that’s what my PC said. I got my surgeon consult in oct as having ba in jan. I’m hoping for 410cc or more to go from 32b to look a DD , u end up measuring bigger tho it seems from girls story’s on here
. Very helpful to see pic etc. U know what surgeon u want Hun?
Yeah i noticed that too. I am hoping to have my op at the end of oct. I dont know yet as i also have a consultation with transform in 2 weeks. I have friends who have had ops at both and both have good results. So i am going to both places and seing which i feel most comfortable at. What are u thinking then, under/over, high/low? xx
Depends entirely what surgeon thinks but I hope unders high profile 410 or 460 hopefully
I’m seeing kazzazi and adamo. Apprently few bad story’s on here bout transform due to aftercare etc x
Ahh right. Are there? :S i havent seen anything yet. I think everywhere is going to have different opinions tbh, i try not to listen to any bad ones lol xx
Yeh u need to do what u thinks best n what you feel comfortable with.
where bout u going to see ur PC?
yeah
in manchester tomorrow. I have written down lots of questions to ask! haha xx
I’d always thought that low profiles were for more natural look?x
When you have decided to get breast implants, you face yet another decision. Should you get low, moderate or high profile implants? Before you say, “Yes, give me the biggest ones you have,” it would be helpful to understand the reason for the different profiles. It doesn’t just mean that you want smaller, medium or large breasts. You also have to take into account your frame, build and body shape. Here is a look of each type of profile and what body shape, frame and build is best for that profile.
Low Profile Breast Implants
Low profile breast implants generally mean that the breast will project at a lower amount than the moderate and high profiles. So, your breasts will most likely poke out less than someone with moderate and high profile breasts. While some may think this is a bad thing, it’s not in the right patient. This is typically for very small framed women. If they have a narrow chest, implants with a wider base and that project further would not look natural. They would also probably be very uncomfortable for the patient. So, smaller women with narrower chests and petite body types are the best candidates for low profile breast implants. This doesn’t mean that their breasts will be small, either, only more suited to their frame.
Moderate Profile Breast Implants
Low moderate breast implants will generally project further and have a wider base than low profile breast implants. Typically, women that are of a medium frame and medium chest width would be prime candidates for moderate profile breast implants. This is especially true when the woman is looking for cleavage. This is because with a wider chest, wider implant bases will allow them to have cleavage and look natural. These types of implants on very petite women can look very unnatural, and they can look out of proportion.
High Profile Breast Implants
These are normally for larger framed women. If a patient has a wider chest and a larger frame, she is going to look very strange with very small, low profile breast implants. Especially if she wants cleavage – low profile breast implants that are placed in order to give a larger framed woman cleavage would leave spaces on either side of the breasts which looked empty. That is why high profile implants are needed. They have a wider base that fits larger frames better, and still allows cleavage while looking more natural and proportionate.
Your surgeon can explain more about the profiles to you, as well as tell you which category you fit under. One thing that can help you determine what profile you desire is to find a picture of a woman similar to your weight and height with the perfect size breasts in your eyes. You can show your doctor the pictures, and it will help him or her understand more of what size you desire. This is much more effective than telling them you want to be a C or D cup. Learn all you can about the profiles and your body size and frame, so that you can make an informed and the best decision for you.
Thanks tina that helps a lot. Just from my opinion i think the moderate profiles would be best for me. But i have my consultation this afternoon so i’m sure my pc will tell me more about it
xx
Glad it helped,xxx
Sorry but the info above is mixed up as high profile are for small framed girls with a narrow chest as there base is smaller but they project more if looking from side if a small framed girl was to have low profile because they have a wider base they would end up seeing the ridge of the implant at the side that’s why girls who are larger framed or have wider boobs have them as high profile would give them a cone shaped look unless they went for a much larger implant, if your wanting a natural look your surgeon would be best to advise you as it will depend on what you have already as to the decision of overs/unders and your measurements will decide the profile Hun hope this helps!! I had 435 cc low profile overs with a nipple lift taking me from a 36C to a 34 F ( weight loss only reason dropped a band size recently) xx Sam xx
Found the information on the internet,I will look in to why the site is displaying incorrect information girls apologise for posting the wrong information.
I had low profile and i am small framed, was told low profile would look better on me as i wanted more of a natural look and would silly with boobs that poke out as im only small framed! My boobs look so natural, i love em
xxx
Im actually going with transform in september, i have found everything spot on with them so far! Xx
Yeah low profile is for broader girls because the base is wider and high profile is for more petite/narrower girls because the base is narrower x
Low profile are wider and flatter – so although your boobs increase in size they don’t project as much. They are supposed to be more natural for this reason.
High profile have more projection and are not as wide, which is why they are usually recommended for girls with narrow frames.
Overs mean the implant is place over the muscle. This is usually done when there is already enough breast tissue to cover the implant.
Unders are the opposite!
This thread just goes to show that you should speak to your surgeon to clarify these sorts of things as the info on here is never that accurate! If you tell your surgeon the look you want, they will tell you the size etc you need xx
Sammy29 you were right,I asked the expert he said like you it is all mixed up,girls please disregard the info on the tina2011 post.Thankyou.xxx
I had my consult yesterday and I wasn’t told anything about the high/low/moderate profile, or even that I was being put down for overs (I found out the overs info from the girl I spoke to after my surgeon) – I am sure it’s all written down but because I don’t know what I am getting (or even that I have the right size implants), I am not sure whether I am getting what I want or what the surgeon thinks I want or what he thinks is right for me (I took pics in to show but he didn’t look at him). I am sure he’s spot on with his decision, but would like to feel more informed. I’m small 34B and want to go to a natural looking D, have been told 300cc overs but I don’t get to see what the 340s were like as they didn’t have any there for me to try. Confused!
