highgate!!!! time of the first op on a day?

Hi Does anybody know what time is the first op each day. I was told i will be first cos of latex allergy. Still don’t know what is going on and 6 days left. I’m not happy bunny ((

6.30 I think is the 1st admission time hun, I found out 5days before when mine was xx

I was admitted at 7.30 and the first one in at 9.00am. Considering the surgeon arrives at 8.30 thats pretty quick!!

Dont worry about not knowing your admission time, most people dont find out until a couple of days before xx

Hi zolza I have a latex allergy too, just wondering why they make u go first and do they do this with everyone? Xx

I think they like to get the most difficult out the way first. For example uplifts and implants take a bit longer so they like to give themselves the extra time first thing rather than last thing.

Thats my theory anyway.

Dr Singh. The nurse told me that I’m going first. Have no clue why as it doesn’t make that much sense at all

I had an uplift with implants and i was the last one of the day – they generally do the straightforward BA’s first as most of those patients are a day case and need to be recovered from the GA so they can go home the same day! Not too sure about the latex allergy though xx
