HOLE in NIPPLE!

I have a hole in my nipple…anyone else had this problem? It seems to be the dissolvable stitches that are causing the problem. My left nipple starting oozing last week at the site of a dissolvable stitch, but tests show it wasnt infected but I have had a dressing on it for the past week. Now i have woken up with my right nipple exactly the same, oozing and bleeding, i have no other signs of infection but its really getting me down…sooo scared about getting a big infection and bad scarring.

Oh Hun. Feel for you. Are you on antibiotics?

What else has the nurse/surgeon suggested?

I wasnt on anti biotics as the left boob last week didnt show up positive for infection, it was just the stitch dissovling that had irritated hte incision. but the right side is hurting. I rang the emergency nurse and she said to go in the clinic again on monday morning. I went to boots today and had a consultation just to check if i could do anything, they suggested savlon spray and sterile dressing until i see the nurse tomorrow, they’ll be sick of seeing me at manchester clinic soon!

been told its likely to be ulnar carpal syndrome caused by a trapped nerve in either my arm, armpit or neck! have to go for tests 2mrw to rule out any underlying condition then refered to a hand specialist, depending on the severity of it may need surgery bloody hope not!! but it is getting worse by the day, got no strength in it at all now, couldnt even hold my fork properly eating tea tonight fingers crossed it improves on its own xxx

Is it a perfect round small hole? If yeah it’s the stitches. They’re little bastards I had em all over my boobs. Don’t worry tho hun they will heal up xxx

@amanda.s – yes it is a perfect small hole right where the stitch was – one hole in each nipple, just wen I thought I was all healed! How long did yours take to heal huni? X

All in all about 3 months. Every now n again a hole would appear. Ikept having to go to clinic so I just started doin wat the nurses did, sterilise everything n pull it n snip it. (will probs get in trouble again now for writing that!)

It’s annoying isn’t it xxx
