Hi girls. I’m going on holiday on the 28th July for a week, I get back on the 4th august and my op is booked for the 8thaug. I remember my PC mentioning something about not drinking alcohol for 2 weeks but can’t remember if it was 2weeks pre or post op or even both x
My advice was no alcohol for 48hrs before. Smoking is 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. Dunno when you can drink after though. Alcohol thins the blood but i was drunk 36hrs before my op and went well. Not that you should do that but make sure you cut it out 2 days before at least and double check with your nurse/surgeon because everybody is different.
