Holidays after a BA

hi i was wondering how long i should wait after having a BA before going on holiday i have a holiday booked at the end of June and was kinda hoping i could have my op before i go is that advisable?

You can fly short haul 2 weeks after Hun, and 6 weeks long haul, cause I asked my nurse

Hi hun, i’m not having my op with MYA but i’m going away 3 weeks after and my surgeon says I should be fine although obviously you’ll have to bare in mind that you may still be tender and won’t necessarily look perfect in a bikini at that stage etc!! x

hey ive just had them done im booked to go to tenerife 24th june, i work as cabin crew so holidays is what i do, should be fine, im going to use plasters over scars xx

can you go in a swimming pool 18days after a BA? xxx

no swimming hun, your not supposed to keep your scars wet for prolonged periods for six weeks (which is why your not supposed to have a full bath either), and the chlorine in the water can irritate your scars (at eleven weeks when i went swimming, it hurt mine for a while after and made them dead itchy, that could just be me though) xx

i’m hoping to be going to Malia at 7 half weeks after my op. Has anyone else had a really bad experience with swimming in a pool at such an early stage. The comment above has made me slightly worried because i thought i would be able to swim after the 6 week mark… im having my op middle of june and expect to go first week of august … xx
