HOLIDAYS – protecting scars??

Hiya ladies!

Has anyone come up with a brilliant idea to protect my scars from the sun?

Im 2 months PO and off on hols in August. I dont like having white boobies so I tend to sneakily go topless. I dont want to expose my scars tho because the sun makes them go dark.

Any suggestions (other than keeping my bikini top on) to protect the scars?

Any suggestions also for sunbeds before I go on hols xx

I think if you are to put lots and lots of suncream which is a really high factor on them then this will protect the scars, i asked my surgeon the same question and he did mention that it can turn them darker xx

Im tempted to put a skin colour plaster on them! haha! my boyf laughed hard when I said i was thinking of doing that.

total sun block, u can buy it in a stick from boots.

i use it on my mole lol, need to get a mole cut off and refuse to avoid sunbeds hahaha xx

Get a total sun block think boots do up to a factor 60 now.

I took a factor 50 on the holidays I’ve been on in the past year and you can hardly see my scars now!!!!

jojo – How old were your scars when you went away first? x

they were about 8 months. Its important to always be extremely cautious with them though how ever old they are. I’d still do the same now and im nearly 2 years post op. I went to the dominican so topless bathing was a definite.

I went on the sunbeds before and covered them with the white tape that i had on post op. i managed to pick some up at the local chemist for about £1.

I’m deff gonna get hold of some of this I can’t wait to go topless!! Does it deff give coverage to scars girls? I don’t wana risk otherwise xxx
