Hormones?!

Hi ladies, does anyone know whether they give to hormone s during the op? Someone told me today that they do but i think she was just trying to scare me?! Thanks!! My BA is on Wednesday, so excited but after being told this its kinda freaked me out a bit!! xxxx

There’s no WAY they can give you hormones during the op without discussing with you and your gp first for sure. why the hell would they give you hormones during the op anyway? doing that would affect differently aged ladies in different ways and would be very stupid to just give to someone without any discussion prior to the op? You have to stop taking the pill before your op presumably because taking the pill can result in breast tissue growth and the surgeons want to be operating on you in as much of a natural state as possible.

go ask this person where they got their info from and I bet they can’t say!!

No they dont i am on hrt patches and i was told i had to stop them 1 month before op i checked with my doctor and was told by him i should not stop and because i have patches i was allowed to keep them on,so if anything you stop taking hormones,take on notice,anyway they couldnt give you anything like that without doctors consent,stop worrying and good luck for wednesday you will be fine.

Isnt it amazing what some people think happens? I wish people who didn’t know what they were talking about would shut their mouths tho, about everything!

Maybe you should make something really random up about what ‘they’ do during a BA and tell her and see if she believes you. Like, they sew the implant into position or something.
