I had my sutures trimmed today (16days post op) and the nurse said my boobs were really hot too touch which they have been on/off for a few days. She looked concerned and asked if i had taken all of my antibiotics, which i have done.. she said if i get pain with the hotness to ring in as could be a sign of infection… i’m sure i read it’s normal to get hot boobs throughout recovery? Just got me a bit worried… anyone further along than me experience this and it all be ok?
Concerned as she said not to use nothing for 6 weeks on my boobs but at my one week check up, a diff nurse said i could use bio oil on tops as long as i don’t get my incisions wet… i stopped using it 2 days ago cause it was giving me spots but worried it could have somehow got in to my incisions.. xx
mm its a difficult one as it is normal to get hot boobs, I did, I think all of us did, as long as there isn’t puss coming out and you haven’t got a fever then you will be fine, and to make you feel better I had to stop my antibiotics day 4 as they made me so ill and I was fine! you will be fine with bio oil on the tops, it wouldn’t of got anywhere near your incisions, and if you think it might run down whiles sweating ect just damp a wet flannel over them xxx
Hiya… I did experience a day of hot boobs around 2 weeks post op and it felt so warm that it was frustrating me. Couldn’t work out if it was a fever or just the boobs feeling hot but the rest of my body felt warm too so I thought okay it might be a temperature. I phoned the clinic and I was advised I could take my bra off for a little while because the hot boobs with a sports bra was making it worse so I tried that and took a paracetamol which did make me feel better and I cooled down so I assume I probably just had a normal day temperature. I was however advised the same that if the hot boobs reoccur and if there’s pain then I had to call in and see a nurse to get it checked. I might’ve felt on/off warm boobs other days too I think and have read other girls have too so it’s probably nothing to worry about but if it’s reoccurring, it may be worth ringing / seeing the nurse to be on the safe side. Hopefully the bio oil hasn’t got into the incisions because you’d probably have some sort of pus I think and soar incisions if it was an infection.
I had hot boobs for a few days after op then it settled. I went back to work yesterday and today they’ve been hot and hard again. So think it’s just using them more during healing .. Think they’re telling me to take it easy haha xx
awe jamie bet thats soo weird and your a month ahead of me or so too, guess it’s all part of the journey! i’m not gonna worry now seems it is just a normal thing. I’ve checked over my incisions this morning and nothing unusual, seem to be healing well :D..i’ve had a temp today though so naturally my boobs are hot and paracetamol isn’t shifting it… think i’m comnig down with the flu tbh… no pain though so think i’m okay just a worrier… guess don’t want anything to mess them up xx
