Hot tubs?! Help!

Hi ladies,

I’m 4 weeks post op today and off away for the weekend with the girls to stay in a lodge with a hot tub. I forgot to ask my surgeon if it was ok to use it. Do you girls have any idea?

No no no don’t do it my sister got an infection from one and she was 6weeks x

And you don’t want to ‘soak’ the insicions either as you not ready to bathe yet at 6 weeks xbest to be safe than sorry xx have fun tho xx

Really are you not allowed to bathe? I was told light showers at 2wpo and shallow baths but told it was fine to bathe as soon as my incisions were healed, it’s wierd cause when you have a c-section your encouraged to soak to help with the healing process and thats a much more invasive surgery, im 4 weeks post op now and been having a 5 min soak each day for the last week to help with over granulation.
Yes deffo stear clear of hot tubs though especialy if it’s not your own and impissible to know how clean and treated it is you can catch Herpes (HPV2) in them, very rare but possible x
