I’m 5ft 7″ and size 10 but have a lil belly on me and have hated it for agesssss!!! Just wondering if any of u had tips on how to lose a stone safely and quite quickly. I’m dieting and do two gym classes four days a week. I’m eating weightwatchers meals and not snacking and keeping my eating quite limited. I asked the instructor at the gym and she said i will struggle to lose a stone but i wanna be a size 8
I’m 9st 4lb atm and would love to be 8 and a half stone, any tips?? xx

Sounds like you figured it out already. I would keep carbohydrates to an absolute minimum and up your protein intake so you have more energy for the gym work. I lost 5kg in a month when I cut out carbs and that was when I wasn’t going to the gym. Also what kind of gym work are you doing? High intensity cardio is really good, but if you do about 15/20 minutes of weights…nothing too heavy, something that you feel comfortable with, it keeps your metabolism higher for longer. I would also recommend going to the gym 5 times a week as it is more consistent for your body.
Camomile tea can be good for hunger pangs as the first week as eating very few carbs can be hard! But I promise it gets better after that.

hi i agree with leah – calorie count.
i was 12 stone and ate a calorie controlled diet – 1200 per day, fruit and veg are ‘free’ so you dont have to count these except potatoes and banana.
i am now 10 stone very happy to stay the size i am 
at 9st 4 though i would lower the calorie intake to 1000.
easiest diet i ever did. if you have an evening meal just cram the plate with veg instead of chips/potatoes.
eat lots of fruit as snacks instead of crisps/chocolate.
if you do fancy some choc you can still have it just count it in your daily intake.
also use ‘my fitness pal’ its a website and app for iphone, log all your fod and it counts the calories for you.

Been using fitness pal app it’s wicked and u can put all your exercise in etc I wanna lose a stone too! Been doing gym twice a week and a class called body pump which kills me lol xx
if its ur belly u wana lose it from mainly, good ol’ sit ups and squats will help tone up, but u may end up gaining weight in muscles (especially as it weighs more), which is why ur goal of a stone could be hard xx

Cambridge diet works a treat, it’s hard but I lost 6lbs this week. X
You should cut out potatoes, bread, crisps, noodles, pasta…all the main carbs really. Best proteins to eat are chicken, fish and seafood, avoid red meat xx

Yeah, I was going to mention that earlier actually, personal trainers are really good because they tailor a program that’s just for you and your likely to achieve what you want quicker than you would on your own

Hun to be honest you are the at the lowest healthy weight you should be! I’m the same stats as u, and struggle keeping my tummy toned, I really wouldn’t suggest eating any less than 1400 kals a day as your body needs it’s energy espically with the gym sessions u r doing!
Cut out alcohol that always helps me, also stomach crunches in the morning and evening,up to as many as 300 a day of u can, doing your sides as well. Also plenty of water and green tea, cut out tea and coffee.Running is also good to tone up.
Cutting out some carbs is good like chrisp and chips but u need some for energy, everything should be in moderation! Have one day as a treat day, don’t go crazy but just let yourself have a naughty treat, stops u from craving and cracking!
Swap White potatoes For sweet potatoes they don’t hold as many cals and don’t bloat ur tummy and they r yum!!

well i used to go to this gym last year that had a cute personal trainer and he liked me which made things awkward, couldnt take exercising seriously with him lol but since then ive moved to a better gym, but i think i’m gonna ask him to do personal training sessions with me at mates rates
its just soo expensive! and my bf doesnt like him so he cnt find out lol xx
Aha see I took it a step further…more than a step lool so it made it doubly awkward and everyone at the gym knew argh so embarassing. Since then my parents put a gym in our house so I just get him to visit me at home instead. So much easier

Right ladies, this is how I lose weight in a hurry, it’s not “cosmetic surgery” – see what I did there… hehe. I normally cut out all carbs or go low carb, so that’s bread, potatoes, crisps, pies, rice anything carbie is out out out!!! So a standard day would consist of a piece of fruit and a yougurt for breakfast or if I have time some scrambled egg or omlet for breakfast. Chicken or salmon salad for lunch and chicken and veg or a salad for dinner. You can also have a granola bar or a smoothie throughout the day but remember they do have carbs in them so that’s your carb intake for the day. The reason you need to go no carb or low carb is because your body eventually starts to burn off your fat for energy within 48 hours I normally find. I do some cardio work in the evenings and then some toning 5 nights a week, but we are talking maybe half an hour run followed by toning, you want to get your heart rate up and then tone those muscles. You can do more if you wish obviously. Sometimes I’ll do an hour on each. I tend to only work out mon-Friday and rest on the weekend. This all helps and when you have a bit of of weight to lose it can seem quite daunting but stick at it, when the pounds start dropping off you’ll really feel good about yourself. I started dieting in Feb 2011 at a size 14 I was at my biggest and felt really horrible about myself. By June 2011 I got into a pair of size 8 jeans and felt fabulous! I had to sacrifice chocolate, cheese, wine many many many things that I love to eat. I had to work out, but the joy of buying size 10 dresses and 8 jeans and people really noticing the change was worth it! Good luck ladies!!!! xxx

I went back after 6 weeks, it was a stuggle though. I think once you lose the momentum it’s really hard, I am back up to a size 10-12 now though so a bit disapointing, but it’s only January so still on course for a size 8 summer….hopefully
I really need to be dead good as I’m short so the weight sticks to me like glue

Was your Nose ok when you exercised, im a bit worried it might hurt??? Did you do normal exercise after 6 weeks or gentle exercise?

I’ve been doin slimming world for 6 weeks & lost 13lb(would of been more but put 2.5 on I’ve Xmas & new yr) I’ve been swimming n doin classes at the gym. Slimming worlds no calorie counting, measuring or anything like that. U can eat unlimited meat fruit veg pasta rice potatoes….. The list is endless. God knows how it works but it does. I eat more now than I ever have n loosing it easy. Give it a go xxx

I find that when I get my heart rate up I my nose tends to swell a bit, but that’s to be expected. I have found that exercising a bit every day really helps, and finding a diet that suits you and your life style and the things you like to eat is key. xxx
Yep I go every thurs, it defo spurs u on. Yeah it is amazing, I really do t get how it works but it does. I think you’ll struggle to loose a stone quickly tho with you not weighing very much anyway, I think if u stick to it u MIT manage 5-8 pounds in a month xxx
Hi I went from size 6 to 12 and that was without excercising. I still eat sweets and biscuits and chocolate but I eat smaller meals and I’m really good during the week and splurge at weekends. I’ve heard this shocks your body into speeding up your metabolism. I also eat alot of spicy foods and I’ve heard this also speeds up your metabolism. I know it sounds weird but I swear that helps me out and I don’t even excercise x

Try the Hannah Waterman DVD and also any of the Jillian Micheal DVDs … So many people have said their brilliant and really really hard with good excercises. I’ve ordered them waiting for them to come x
I’ll feel better once I have started with my personal trainer, my sis has got just dance at home and that gets u sweaty, might have a few go’s on that too lol xx
