Hey guys…op is in 2 weeks and 5 days (not that im excited) was wondering how you guys slept as i sleep on my stomach and have for years, i bought a V pillow and tried it last night for an hour and it was impossible to sleep upright with face to the ceiling. Did anyone manage to just sleep on their side or tummy still with head to the side?? so scared i won’t be able to sleep and i’ll wake up with a crooked nose or something xx

Bless ya. I slept for the first 6 days in an arm chair with pillows and the foot stool. My fella moves about a lot in bed and was worried he would knock me. I also found it easier getting up and moving rather than the bum shuffle in bed.lol you will find what is right for you when you get it done. But I think you will find it hard on your side and need to be on your back upright. Try a lot of other pillows around you. Good luck. Xx

I felt the same except I always sleep on my side curled up. Got my op done in wed and have slept with 2 pillows plus the v one. U was really worried too but I’ve managed to sleep ok, I’m still pretty tired after the op ans meds. I’m sure you will b able to sleep cos ur body will need it. You don’t hav to b totally upright, I’m prob abt 45 degree angle and u turn bt head to the side so it kinda feels like I’m on my side. Xx

Im the same Sascia, I have always slept on my stomach mainly, allowing for some turning on the side and the occasional move to on my back but front is my main position of sleep, i feel like im gonna find it impossible to sleep not on my front! what happens if you turn over in your sleep? god knows how i wake up in some rare positions! xx

I bought the V shaped pillow too and it’s been a godsend! i usually sleep on my stomach or side & i tend to move around a lot too but the pillow really supports your body and prevents you from moving too much. I had grafts from both ears so sleeping on my back was the only option.

I definitely recommend you get one! X
