How do you know if…

…you have an infection? Help from anyone who has had one would be good!

I’m not particularly worried atm, but I’m 3 weeks po, and I had an uplift. Ive been wearing steri strips on my scars for the past week, and been advised to continue until around weds/thurs next week. I’ve been showering and changing the strips everyday. However, yday when I took them off in the shower I noticed a gunky bit on there, which was a creamy color, and the same today. Plus I just noticed there’s spots of it dried in the bra I slept in.

I’m not in pain tho, and it’s not constantly oozing or I can’t squeeze any out and it don’t smell or anything.

So, any ideas? :S

I would give the nurse a call honey,just to put your mind at rest,it may be a little stitch playing up,but I would double check,xxx

Definitely call them, I have a dent in mt BA scar from an infection from a knot that didn’t dissolve.

How long are the stitches meant to take to dissolve typically?

I know I should prob call but I know they can’t really say what it is without seeing it and I’ll have to wait until at least Monday to see someone anyway. Just wondered if anyone here had an infection without realizing that’s what it was! I think the stuff has come out of where all the skin from the top joins the incision at the bottom, like it the middle, where it all comes together? That probably makes sense to nobody!
