I kinda joked with my Mum for a good year or two that i would get mine done one day…she didnt believe me until i told her I’ve got my 1st consultation on Friday!! I made sure I dropped odd comments into conversation beforehand, to ‘warm her up’! At first she was adament that she didnt agree, but now she says as long as theyre for ‘you’ and thats what you really want, then she’ll support me…perfect.

I have two sisters and they both reacted really differently (bot have big boobies so its ok for them lol)…one was totally supportive (‘yeh go for it’), the other was more ‘what the heck you getting them done for?’

So, be prepared to not have all the support you’d like, but just remember why youre getting them done – for you..no one else!!! xx

Anyone else find that its always those with big boobies that are the most judgemental?? x

My mum has been brill, shes always known ive not had much confidence (having counselling etc) and i told her straight away wen i was going for my consultation and she said good luck are you sure u dont want me to come with u etc. my step dad has agreed to be my guarentour for my loan and hes joked with me saying “so if u miss a payment ive got to pay for u some boobies that u cant take back!” lol.

Dont want to tell my real dad as he would hit the roof! hates anything fake but i hardly see him anyway so couldnt give a shit what he thinks! x

I texted my mum to tell her. Had told her for the past 6 years that I was gonna get it done so I don’t think it was a shock. She told my dad and apparently he was mainly concerned about me spending all that money whilst he’s saving for my wedding (oops).

They come round :) Just prep them. xx

I told my parents I wanted my boobs done when I was like 17 (3 years ago) they completely disregarded it, and said I was being stupid and I didn’t know what I was saying.

I finally decided at the end of last year that I was actually going to go through with it, I had the support of my lovely boyfriend and I booked my first consultation. I told my parents about my consultation, they both freaked out and my mum hardly spoke to me about it. Now that I’ve had a few consultations and told them how I intend to pay for it etc they are starting to come around! They don’t necessarily agree with it, but they’re more understanding, especially now I’m 20.

Funny enough my Grandma is the most supportive of all my relatives… oh and all of my 18 year old brother’s friends!! Lol I wonder why?!

I agree with Kezza1… definately be prepared for a bad reaction! You will get it from at least one person, whether it’s a relative or a friend. But you’ll be fine! Lots of support on this forum and it sounds like you have a pretty nice boyfriend also!

If you can tell your parents about being pregnant… this will be easy peasy honey =)

    xx

P.s. Kezza1 girls with big boobies are the most judgemental.. because they don’t understand what it’s like to be in our shoes.. they already have what we’re gonna be paying for! Lol

And Laura21.. I know what you mean about your real dad! Mine lives in France, I met him for the first time last year in 12 years!(whilst going through councelling for depression and an eating disorder)

Anyways, he has friends who have just paid for their daughter to have a breast enlargement, and he is always going on about how disgusting it is blah blah blah! So I haven’t told him anything! And I don’t think I ever will, he doesn’t have very much involvement in my life anyways, so it’s not really a big deal.

But he would FLIP OUT if I did ever choose to tell him! Lol

I would actually love to see the look on his face if I did! Haha

    xx

Ive never been confident at all wouldnt even go swimming at 1 point never been able to be fully happy in relationships cause i wont show my boobs! so gunna be alot happier i hope wen its all done :) x

I didn’t want my son telling all the other mum’s in the playground I’d had a BA! So when he asked why they were bigger, I told him it was because mummy ate lots of vegetables! This then backfired as he told me he would not eat vegetables because he did not want to grow bobbies like mummy!! Ha ha xx

ive been lucky ive had no negative comments from anyone, my dad has always wanted my mum to have them and shes always wanted them so they have been very supportive of me, my mum wants hers done even more now lol, the only person who was slightly unsure about the whole idea was my bf he thought i was gonna go stupid big and have two big globes stuck on me, but he loves them too now they are done xx

I thought my mum would freak but when I told her I was having my consultation she was really supportive! Like katyeelou i’m 20 as well and initially my mum said I should wait but I’m at uni and didn’t want to leave it till afterwards. Am paying for it myself and my dad was surprisingly supportive too, telling me he would lend me some money if I needed it and told me I didn’t really need it because I was beautiful anyway! How sweet!! Still having it done though… :) I think every parent reacts differently! I have had self-confidence issues for a long time (I blame it on doing semi-professional ballet!) and my mum knows this so she was quite happy for me to go ahead with it.
