How far in advance can you book your procedure…?

Hi Everyone,

I’m new to all this so this may sound a bit stupid but… I went for my first consultation at the weekend for my BA which was great and I told my PC that I was looking at having the op next April. She advised that as it was quite some time away I wouldn’t need to see a surgeon until about January. It just feels a little bit like I’m waiting around now without any further information until I meet the surgeon.

I’d like to know how soon after meeting the surgeon things get moving? And when you choose an actual date?

Any advice?
