How far in advance do MYA let you book op? Started by: gnasher

    Question as above! I have my initial consultation on saturday but I don’t intend on having the actual op for another 6 months or so. This is due to finances…if we get it all in place beforehand then the surgery will be asap lol. I feel more comfortable raising half the money myself then just getting a smaller loan to cover the rest. Anyone doing the piggy bank thing with MYA? How does that work? Will ask these questions on saturday but thought I’d ask you guys too! ;)

    I booked mine in April hun, its on the 4th Jan(10 weeks left) I think it depends on the Surgeon hun but as for the piggybank I think its best to open an independent savings account, just in case you do change your mind or decide to go with another company etc xx

    If they have the surgeons operating dates then you can book quite far in advance, but you’ll probably have to see the surgeon again because they like to see you at least 6 months before surgery, because your body changes x
