Just wondering how good the implants are that mya use. I am getting the allergan cui implants. Are these any good and what are the difference between these and the allergan inspira implants??
Im starting to worry now as i cant afford the allergan inspira implats, there about
Well I believe the allergen cui implants that MYA use as standard come with a ten year guarantee and from what I’ve read there’s not really much difference, if any, except that the other implants come with a lifetime guarantee. This however will prove a useless/pointless additional cost when, ten years down the line, your cui implants are still fine but you have to have them changed because you’ve changed shape/had babies etc anyway!!
If anything were to go wrong with your ba during the 5 years after your op, MYA re-op for free. Based on what I’ve read and the 5 year aftercare package I’m pretty confident I can spend the other
I have the Allergan CUI implants and i’m very happy with them. To be honest, i wasn’t actually given the choice of upgrading to the Inspira range, so i guess Mr Adamo was happy that they were fine for me xx
exacty what i was thinkin
Thankyou for putting my mind at rest i was starting to panic
i think the inspira range would be perfect for an older lady who has already had kids and their body shape isnt going to change dramatically, whereas im only 22 so even the inspira range wont last me a lifetime considering my body shape will change over the years and therefore the implants will need changing
Thanx again

Hi Sarahlou
i’ve just had the Allergan CUI. I wasn’t offered the inspira range either, however I did enquire about them. I was told that there is not much difference between the two also. I was told that apart from the lifetime guarentee and the fact that the outer layer of the implant have got a slightly thicker coating the cui are just as good and as safe. They both have the same life span, (I think) its just that if you have the inspira range and have them changed in ten years for example, you get either free implants or
Actually if you do some searching around the web, most clinics inc Transform and Harley Street also use non FDA approved ranges as standard. The Allergan Inspira are the only approved range, although Allergan/ McGhan have filed for approval with the CUI range. A lifetime guarantee may only mean 15yrs in real terms, and their replacement should be considered along with the initial implant as part of a log term commitment.
However I think we should feel assured that they are safe, and have undergone strict medical testing prior to any Medical Board issuing a licence for use. We hear lots of bad press an view horror pics of bad op’s, it’s important to remember that the pre -op history is rarely released and we’re fed the worse.
