How long???

I asked earlier how long I’d be expected to stay in hospital. I’m a day case and desperate to know what time I’m likely to get discharged. I am expected to arrive at 7.30am and don’t want to stay longer than the middle of the afternoon. Help!!

hi all i know is that with day case you have surgery before midday as you need time to recover before they send you home but i’am not sure how long this is, and i suppose what time you go down depends on how many other day cases there are, so fingers crossed there’s none haha xx sam xx

I was admitted at 7.30, had op at 9 15 ( i was the 1st on the list), back in room about 10.45, had something to eat around 2pm and was discharged at 5pm, but everything did go very smoothly, i wasnt sick, ate fine and had no real problems. I know a girl on the same day as me was 4th on the list, went down at 11.30 am, but was really sick and didnt get discharged till 10.30 pm, they were going to keep her in, so i think it all depends, i think 5pm will be the earlies tho, good luck x

yea you’re right! I was feeling sorry for myself cos I wasn’t getting any answers. you’ve made me feel loads better. Just hope I get discharged pretty early xxx
