how long are you in pain after having unders??

Hi everyone
i had my ba on tuesday 23rd and i had 340 unders, how long are you in pain for? because i am still in alot of pain…sleeping is the worst, and i cant lift things like picking up my laptop is a nitemare!! can someone tell me if they had unders how long does it take until you feel normal again and can start doing normal things? xx

bless ya hun, well i started to feel normal ish again by 2 weeks post op,im now three weeks post op and im back to normal now 100%, hang in there,it does get better i promise you xx

aww thanx 4 that, its my arms that kill still cant lift them above my head, im due back in work on Wednesday but really dont think ill be up to driving, i struggle getting dressed aswell, should i be forcing arms above my head now do u think? did u have alot of swelling? xx

You poor thing I had 300cc unders on Friday and I don’t feel so bad I can lift my arms but I’m avoiding it as they say it can affect the wound. Really hope u feel better soon x

hi, i’m nearly 4 wks post op and i found unders (380) extremely painful, i suddenly started to feel better about 1 week after i did manager to drive. I would agree with mizzpink, 2 weeks is normalish, 3 weeks pretty much 100%. However i still find sleeping uncomfortable, i like sleeping on my side and tummy so i’m still using a v pillow to snuggle in to. i had a lot of swelling, still have i think!!! Keep popping the pain killers xxxx

Thanx for your comments girls, so are u fine to sleep on ur side now? i dont know when to try it out, im still sleeping propped up with lots of pillows. i cannot wait until i get a full decent nites sleep. Did you not wear a bra for 6 weeks? xx

i’m kinda of half on my side half not!! using the V pillow under my back to prop me up on my side if that makes any sense! i was told by the nurse at my 1 week post op to stay on my back for a few weeks (flat), its really strange trying to sleep on my side as a have a booby touching he bed before anything else haha, also they are quite sensitive on the sides. I’m not wearing a bra for 6 weeks so no support!! x

Where do u get a V pillow from? iv got my appointment with the nurse tomorrow so will see what she says to do, yeh iv been told not to wear a bra for 6 weeks, i cant wait to go underwear shoping though feel weird without wearin a bra xx

I think it was from Dunelm, but i’m sure you can get them anywhere! yeah me too, although i must admit i dont feel as exposed as i thought i would haha, take care x
