how long befor me op do i have to stop takin th pill?

i totally cannit remember is it 2weeks or a week its 2weeks 2moro until my op.. i dont wanna be a pest and ring the nurse.. but i jst wanna be on the safe side? and when do you start taken them arnica tablets =] xxxx

if our surgeon said you have to stop your pill its 2 weeks before, mr singh said i didnt need to not sure why they all different, not sure about the arnica tablets i never took sorry! not long now xx

i asked about my pill, and my surgeon said there was no need to stop taking it, so i didnt. as for the arnica tablets, i took them for 1 week before, and 1 week after…they work wonders!! just dont take them on the day of ur BA x

yea few people have told me about the pill thing i dont really want any little accidents happening so i think im guna jst keep taken it.. but did you take it on that day aswell? yea im guna start taken it on friday i cannit wait cant believe i only got like 10days to gooo hehe.. xxx

mr kazzai told me to stop my pill 2 weeks befroe my ba but i dont understand why you need too, is it to do with blood clots? do u think it would b ok if i just carried on taking it? i know i should do what mr kazzai says but it worries me just want new boobies not a bun in the oven lol xx

im gettn mine done on the 13th feb i cant wait countng down the days!!! what do the arnica tables do? are they like the cream for brusing? gd luck wth your ba hun xxx

hiya love nope there tablets you get them from holland and barrets.. they prevent the brusin so much and think the swelling.. just from what iv heard from people.. some people take it 2 weeks before and after or week im just doin it for a week before and after but there ment to be fab.. good luck for ya ba hun hope everythin goes ok xxxx

when i asked mr traynor about the pill, and that id heard some surgeons say to stop taking it, he said ‘theres more risk of something going wrong if u stop taking it, rather than keep taking it’ …… but dont worry all he meant by that is that theres more chance of you getting pregnant in those 2 weeks if u stop taking ur pill, than there is of anything going wrong in the op theatre. He told me to keep taking it as he didnt want me to take the risk of falling pregnant…as that wud be more likely. am i making sense? lol sorry i still have boobie brain lol either way is perfectly safe tho honestly. but yes i did take my pill, even on the day of my ba i really hope all that made sense in other words, do what ur surgeon tells you, but if u want to continue taking your pill, then continue to take your pill no harm done xx

thanx hun i think im guna ring my nurse and ask her if its ok if i keep taken it coz i dont wanna get preg and i think mr kazzaki is the only surgin i kno tht has sed 2 stop lol xx

quite a few of the surgeons will tell you to stop taking it. Im not on the pill so i didnt have that worry. I think the reason behind stopping is because taking the pill can increase the chances of DVT, but saying that your up and about in no time.
defo check with the nurse.
