Hi, I’m three weeks post op today and was wondering if anyone knew when i can use make up/cleansers etc on my nose again? The nurse told me to put nothing on it, not even soap, but she didn’t tell me how long for..

    Thanks! x

    Hi hon,

I’ve been washing my face with pears soap and occasionally gentle cleanser, I’m sure I asked when the cast came off and she said as long as I was gentle ie not rubbing my nose!

Three weeks post op today too xxx

Double check with the nurse honey it seems all out instructions are different,I had my cast on three and a half weeks I was told I could gently cleanse immediately.Apply no pressure to the nose when washing or cleansing to avoid swelling and movement.Remember your nose is still very fragile its been through a lot xx

Thanks girls, i better ask then, for some reason I thought it would be pretty much the same for everyone..

Tina why did you have it on for that long? Don’t know how you did that, 12 days was long enough for me! xx
