I have been told not to pick my daughter up for 2 weeks but already i am finding this almost impossible, she is 15 months and a bit of a rebel so was just wondering how long other girlies waited after their BA?? xx
I haven’t had mine yet hun but my surgeon has told me I can pick up my son (who will be 11 months but is VERY big for his age!!) after the first week xx
My little girl is 14months I didn’t pick her up til after 2weeks I know it is really hard but really try not to wherever possible as you don’t want to damage yourself after a few days if I was sitting down I would kinda pick her up with my legs and then pull her on me for cuddles or whatever but that’s it xxx
ohhh its so hard
i know i should wait but i feel so guilty
selfish mummy is how i feel lol xx
Lol I know but think after all that money you just spent just be careful xx
My little girl is two only about 24lbs, has had serious hip issues and so hasn’t been walking long or for very far. Am fine for the first week po but the second I will be back on my own and will need to get her in her car seat for te school run etc. it will be a case of I have to do it my son needs to go to nursery but am worried about it xx
Sure ul be fine hun, my partner had to go back to work 3 days after I had op luckily I had it fri so He had weekend off and had to go back Monday as normal my youngest is already 24ib at 11 month old and it was a lot easier than I thought at 3days po, Id just suggest taking it easy for the tome your partner is off to recover cause of course every woman is differnt and recovery is differnt for every woman, I felt back normal at 7 days po xx
beckie did you havee unders or overs? do you think this helped your recovery? xx
I had unders. I Think its helped massively. I just took it lightly n Got use to doing things bit by bit by day 5 I was carryingvthem down stairs in morning n back up to bed at night I’ve had no problems at all from it. But only do it if your comfortable n ready xx
Thanks for your help girls, I have until Tuesday so will be 6days p.o., so guess ill see how I feel on the day in regards to how much I can handle, I just really don’t wanna ruin my new assets, had a little cuddle with her on the sofa this evening which made me feel better
xxx
think will kill me not having cuddles especially as my 4yr old really is a mummys boy and loves a good cuddle he says ‘we have the best cuddles i love them’ and my 2yr old is very bossy she always wants me doing what i’m told lol xx
I still don’t feel normal at 4 weeks post op but I’ve had a few issues with a hematoma. Was picking my 2 year old up properly at about 2 weeks though, and quick transfer lifting at about a week. You’ll be fine though, us women just cope
