How long do i have to wait…

Hi ladies

I am due my operation on 9th May and wondered if anyone can tell me how long it takes before you can lift your arms to put normal tops on again. I have a feeling i will be living in my pj’s for two weeks – am i wrong??

Also, how long before you can have sex, will too much movement hurt – sorry i need to ask these questions.

After a couple of days about 4 days post opp i could put normal clothes on although it ached a little bit!!!!!!
and the sex i think just depends on urself when u r up to it ya just hav to lay there pretty much and not really do anything haha!!!!

In my post op info from mya it says shouldnt do any exercise include sexual for 6weeks post op, not too sure how long it is before u can put ur arms over your head… but im 7days post op and im still wearing zip up tops, im actually hurting more now than i was 2days post op… hurts to bend down/stretch or reach up, or anything that involves movement

Ive had sex already… but just did missionary, as to avoid boobs bouncing or being pulled, and obviously.. goes without saying sex on ur chest is a no no. xx

Oh my god, I think I need to relax a little more about this whole operation thing. I have it in my head I’m going to be back to my normal self after 2 days (silly I know). I have a two year old girl and I don’t want to be laid up in bed for too long incase she goes off me (me being silly again).
Think my problem is I can’t relax and I can’t stop thinking about all the if’s and but’s. I might have to take some calms from now till June.
Must make a note to buy more zip up tops and shirts!

i had unders and found i could put a normal top on 6 days after, then felt better after 8 days (was naughtily lifting my nieces and nephews up on day 8 post op) and now i’m 10, or 11 lol, days post op and feel pretty normal. Just twinges every now and again and sleeping isn’t great. Basically everyone is different n you just have to listen when your body says no.. xx

I felt fine with normal tops from 4 days!!strap/vest tops are best as u can put them on by putting ur legs through and pulling them up!!I could have sex from same time, but just have to kind of lie there and make ur other half do all the work haha!lifting took me a while!couldn’t life kettle for first week!xx

whoop whoop. im planning on having my ba in may, have con 17 april. ive got 17 month old v clingy twin girls n they cuddle me all the time, im worrying about not being able to cuddle them n they go off me lol xxx

i have a 9mth old im not booked yet but hoping for june she will be 11mths by then, im also worried about picking her up will have to make do with cuddles and being close to her for a couple of weeks hope its not more than 2 weeks but its thro her i need them doing so she will have to make do with carrys off daddy for a while heehee

So glad there are others in the same boat as me, makes me feel better.
Vest tops might be a good buy – might have to buy some this weekend just so I’m prepared.
