how long do mrsa swabs take to come back??

so had my pre op back in feb?? ops now in 8 days n i get a call sayin the swabs r now void so have to have them redone monday afternoon. my op is on saturday 21st really worried they wont b back in time plz someone tell me they will?? xx

I had the same thing happen to me hun, had my Pre Op back in January and just over a week to go (op 3rd April) they tell me the results are only valid for 6 weeks and that I need them redoing!! Of course I flew into a panic thinking I’d have to move my op date be ause the results wouldn’t be back in time but my pc was brilliant and arranged and looked after everything.. They only take a few days.. You’ll be just fine.. Chat with your pc she’ll sort it for you.. But don’t worry I’m sure it’ll all be ok.. xx.

If I haven’t heard anything back does that mean my resullts were ok? Or do I need to call and chase x

i got told last time they done mine no news is good news so ur fine babe x
