Hey girls! Might sound stupid but I was wondering how long the implants are supposed to last? Not sure if that’s an outdated question and if it’s the case of “as long as you take good care of them” nowadays…x

@amanda25 Thanxx for your response:) 5-10yrs is quite broad tho don’t you think? Did they mention how you are to know yourself when it needs replacing, whether it’s a check up situation or more of a feeling?😳 x

@hdwilding But appearance aside, is it actually safe to just have them sitting in you forever? Sorry to go on and on but just wanna know exactly what I’m signing up for, physically and financially! Thanxx for your help:) x

Thats ok don’t be silly! Best to find out exactly what youre getting yourself into for sure 🙂
He said that the mentor implants they use are the best and the life expectancy for them can be up to 20 years. I personally got the impression from most people when I was researching that 10-15 years is when most have them replaced- having said that, most people were having them replaced due to there appearance xxx

My surgeon said that i wont like the look of them anymore.. but i plan to go bigger nxt year anyway so the whole how long they last thing doesnt apply to me x

See I was told that they last for life/can stay in me for as long a I am happy with them. The 15-20years I was told was based on when I would most likely want to get them replaced/perhaps get a lift.

1 thing is for sure they dont last a lifetime most people change them because of appearance implants are heavy and gravity does them no favours x

I was referring to the safety/integrity of the implant. I asked if I absolutely had to have them replaced because money would be a factor for me and told clearly no it would purely be a appearance/vanity reason and not a medical one. Am sure I will end up getting them lifted/replaced at some point.

I was told that the mentor implant lasts 40 years and will not need to be changed until then unless you want to for reasons already mentioned xx

Yeah you can actually keep them in forever if you want.. providing nothing bad happened where they needed to be removed 🙂
