Yes I’ve only just managed to start sleeping down after 15 days. Because it felt like a pull when i was trying to lay down. But I’ve slept laid down last 2 nights 🙂 sleeping flat on my back though. You’ll be able to do it soon.. whilst you’re sleeping sat up a neck pillow may help.

I started sleeping on my back 6 days after my op. I think you just know yourself when you can, I couldn’t cope sleeping upright x

Ah sleepingflat on your back is just as bad- week 2&3 were terrible for back and sleep problems for me. I would wake up with agonising pain in boobs and terrible back. I found elevating my legs/thigh high (I used couple of pillows) helped. It does get better though-I was a ‘fetal position’ sleeper pre op, and now love sleeping on my back. 6weeks post op.

I was told by the nurse 6 weeks at a 45 degree angle. I have still been using my v pillow but I’ve been sleeping pretty much on my back for the last week or so. I’m 5 weeks post op. I think 6 weeks is a bit excessive but have just followed the advice I got from the nurse xxx

Mine at mya said 2 weeks at 45 degrees, then 4 weeks on your back, then after 6 week post op appointment you can sleep on side which is what I’ve done xx

After reading everyone’s comments on this I’m gonna start sleeping on my back. I’m 5 weeks post op and if most people are told 2 weeks it’s not gonna do me any harm! So crappy sleeping sat up xxx
