    was wondering as think wud be better to sleep on sofa sitting up than on a bed.

    I was told to be upright for at least 2 weeks,other have been told something else,from what I read on the forum,I think the trouble is we are not given enough information,as to why sleeping upright is such an important part of the recovery process,each surgeon gives information based on their own individual beliefs,my surgeon asked me to remain upright for 2 weeks,then gradually lower my pillows,I followed his instructions.xxx

    2 weeks blimey hun long time hehe i dont mind. nd good morning m lovey yeeeh two weeks aint bad i mean i got two weeks of work but am a waitress so is it enough to then go back and start carrying things? i can ask to be on the bar tho i spose. xx

    i wasnt told much about sleeping upright i only read it on the forum,

    i think im due a phonecall to the nurse today and ask a few things! xx

    i keep thinking oooo i better not ring as theyl think im a time waster but at the end of day were paid almost 4 thousand pounds.. why not ring and ask a bloody question xx

    Girls if you need information then ring your nurse or PC,that what they are there for,there should be a basic fact sheet on this forum explaining what we should be doing and why post op to aid our recovery,as sometimes we are just so excited we forget to ask those very important questions.xx

    i was just about to post exactly the same question…. i only had my surgery wednesday and my back is in agongy! any tips for how to support my back and neck trying to sit up in bed? xxxx

    I put my pillows like a ski slope,making sure my bottom back and neck had support,the v pillow is a godsend,I also had a cushion under my knees and heels,I still ached but it wasn’t that bad that I could’nt sleep,xxx
