how long does the tape stay on?x

Can I take the tape off before a week if I leave the steri strips on the scars?xx

And if not everyone has it and its only certain surgeons that use it is it even necessary? X

I was allowed to take mine off after 4 days but depends what surgeon you have as to what they want you to do

Reg, sorry duck you are talking about the big support tape not the paper strips. 4 days for the support tape and 10 days for paper strips. Infection control. X

I was told 14 days for the steri strips, but there’s another dressing on under the tape if you do take it of anyway. Every surgeon has a slightly different way of doing it though, they should have told you this at your preop app, give your PC a call if they’ve missed anything out x

10-14 days is ideal, x
