how long should they last??

hey girls, i know the average lifetime for implants is about ten years but could they potentially last longer? how long should you wait to get them replaced? i’m only 18 at the moment and i don’t want to be looking at a lifetime bill of having them done every decade!!

The guarantee for rupture is 10 yrs for CUI and lifetime for natrelles, that doesn’t mean they would need replacing after that 10 years. Life in general will have an effect on them, ageing, gravity etc, same as with ‘real’ boobs, but there’s no time limit on how long they actually last, it’s just the guarantee that comes with them purely for rupture. Like anything, they can last much much longer and you may feel that you don’t want to replace them for some time, if at all.

on the natrelles it says in small print that the garuntee only counts for ten years but i’ve still ordered them just in case i’m wrong lol, so they can last for a lot longer, it just depends on if i still like them and feel they need to be replaced? thank you x

My auntie has had hers for 15 years now and I don’t think she’s getting them replaced any time soon, so yes they can last longer. However, I’m young like you (19) and I knew that the possibility of having multiple re op’s was high; it’s one of the downsides of having a BA but personally I had no problem accepting this because I always want my boobs to look their best; I got through my first op very easily so the prospect of having more doesn’t really bother me. I don’t think you need to get them replaced unless there is something genuinely wrong with them or if you need an uplift. The best thing to do is keep them supported as best you can.

that’s reassuring then – i really want my boobs done but i’m just afraid i won’t be able to afford it if i needed them done every ten years, thanks dolly , okay…don’t think i’ll ever be removing that sports bra then

I was told that if the natrelles ever rupture that you would get the implants replaced for free and money towards a reop, that’s with MYA so I don’t know about other clinics, hopefully that’s still the case but I’m going to check to make sure now!!

my surgeon told me it’s only for the lifetime of the implant would be amazing if it was my life time haha

Ive read om.transform.too lifetime guarantee but then at the side in brackets says lifetime if the implant 10years not the patient
