How long til your steri strips fell off?

The nurse put new steri strips on my incisions when I was 8 days post op. She said they’d start to get tatty and fall off in about 4 days, I am 17 days post op today and they haven’t fallen off yet. The end is starting to look tatty and curl slightly but they’re stuck on firmly.

In a way I’m glad because it means my incisions are still covered but they should have come off about 5 days ago. How long did it take for yours to fall off?

Hi Hun nurse put new ones on me day 6 n told me to take em off no more than 4 days after that seems diff nurses suggest diff methods xx

I don’t know if I should pull them off because they’re stuck quite firm and I’m numb around the incisions so I wouldn’t know if it was hurting x

My nurse told me to take them off in the shower so that they soften coz the glue is obviously stuck to u quite well I might of been informed wrong Hun n be better to leave them on but mine told me not to leave them coz of when they get wet n stuff from shower that can cause probs see what others say coz my nurse has been a bit dodgy with some stuff iv asked n stuff but wanted to give u what I was told xx how u healing Hun xx

My nurse put some on then told me to shower reapply fresh ones then remove them again after 3/4 days myself xx

i was terrified about taking mine off, i left them on for 4 days and they still hadn’t come off, so when i was in the shower i held the shower head on them and slowly pulled them off. The water helped loosen them and my incisions were fine x

Healing well just burning nipples haha yeah I got

my fella to get mine off as had to pull them n I’m to crap at stuff like that lol xx

I’m thinking I should take them off then. I’ll see how easy they come off in the shower x

I went Nd had new ones 7 days po and got told to wait 3-4 days and then soak them off in the bath I did this today they soaked for 10 mins and wasn’t shifting so I loosened the ends and still wasn’t coming off so I gently pulled them and they came off fine. Xx

I took them off this morning and I can’t believe how good they look. I have some dried blood/scabs but apart from that they’re thin white lines. I’m a bit nervous about them being uncovered though, do I just put my bra on with nothing on them? x
