how long until i can fly

i am looking at having a BA some time in the summer, but trying to fit it around various trips etc. i was looking at around july, but will be flying (just a short flight) to a wedding in august. does anyone know how long until its ok to fly?

I have been told 6-8 Weeks, im having BA Friday and going to Jamaica 28th march which gives me 11 weeks. I dont think it is just the flying that is the problem is lugging your luggage around which could cause damage. i think 4 weeks will not give you chance to recover, i may be wrong check with other girls on here xx

I was told about 6 weeks, i am having my BA this week and starting a new job as an air hostess mid February. But I was told this amount of time will be enough & my PC said she flew after her BA 3weeks post op but just a short haul flight xx

my flight will only be less than 1 hour, so short haul. i think roughly the date im looking at will be roughly 6 weeks before surgery. obviously i will bring it up with my PC when i have my first meeting but just thought id ask first, thanks girls xx
