how long until the disolvable stiches disolve?

I’m 12 days post op now and just wanting to know when they disolve?? X

I’m 4 weeks PO today & I tugged what I thought was the last little bit of one yesterday but about an inch came from around my nipple. I think some can be quite stubborn. xx

Woah .. I’m confused about them do they fall out then ? .. I tugged on one and it moved and it petrified me!! X

They just dissolve away but sometimes they take a little while to disappear. If there are some that don’t dissolve, then your nurse will usually sort them out.

I had a few stragglers and at my 6 week check there was a stubborn one which still had a small scab on it – the nurse pulled it out and it bled a tiny bit but she put a dressing on it and it was fine the next day xx

Its just because i took my steri strips of last night and now i feel bare! .. dearnt get them in water either, such a faggit haha! .. but my mum pulled on one & i came over real dizzy but think thats because i knew what she done and i felt sick lol.

But yeah just want them to be healed they scare me that they might open or summat. bleed eww x
