I had a recent accident with a friend in which I gained a fracture of some sort. I believe it was a closed fracture. As I am a student in a foreign country at the moment I must wait till I get back home to England to get any work done on my nose should I choose to. The accident was about 10 days ago and all that has been done so far is a stich to close the wound in my nose and the ENT specialist performed what is known as a Closed Reduction of some sort.
At the moment my nose is healing and I have some pictures on my profile (if anyone would liek to see) but it does look crooked and I was wondering if “earlier intervention=better end product” as I am trying very hard to avoid a surgery of sorts but the more I research the more it seems that surgery is inevitable. The problem is my Ukrainian/Russian is still quite weak and it is difficult to communicate my concerns to the doctors here.
Anyways any advice would be much appreciated. Today it’s the 20th March 2012 and I return to England for summer June 13th 2012 so I am wondering what to do. I could always fly back for a week-end and a few days at most, BUT as I have no breathing problem/pain (only discomfort) and all else SEEMS to be normal I am in a dilema. And I am a medical STUDENT, which makes things worse cause I seem to only be considering worst case scenarios! Hopefully someone can help out.
Thanks in advance everone
