how to massage breasts post op and after how long? help

i’m 5 days post op and have not been advised to do this, i’ve had my post op appointment with the nurse but forgot to ask, have any of you been told to do this? and if so how do you do it and how long after your op did you start? i’ve heard it’s good in preventing capsular contraction and aids healing..thankyou xx

I’m sure I’ve read somewhere not to massage breasts with textured silicone implants…did you have textured implants? Before you start massaging check it out with your Nurse / PC / Surgeon…I’m seeing nurse tomorrow so I’ll ask and let you know…hope you’re healing okay. xxx

Hi Hunn. Thankyou I’d really appreciate that I has textured implants. I’m much better thanks, went our for a meal today the ride back was a tad bumpy but for 5 days post op I’m doing well. How have you been finding it? xx

Hey honey, will do. Ah you’re only early days yet, it does get better every day. Bumpy rides hey, I remember those days! And holding the seat belt because it was rubbing on me! I’m 4 weeks post op this thurs, I’ve had a bit of a tough time recovering tbh, as I’ve had two different ops on each breast, both settling and recovering at different stages but they are a lot settled than they were. I’ve still a way to go yet. I do have a few concerns which I’m going to discuss with nurse tomorrow. You happy with your results so far hun? xxx

your way to early for this yet. i Only started to massage mine around 4 weeks. I had the textured implants and was told to massage them. Speak to youtr nurse when you go for your post op appointment they will tell you when and how to do it.

mmm my surgeon said no way to massaging!! it moves your implant around,he says after 6 weeks i can use cream not massage tho, cheack with your own surgeon hun xx

aww i’m sorry to hear that michelle, hope the nurse can help with things, let us know how the appointment goes. i’m happy with my results so far. may get boob greed months down the line lol just want them to settle so i can start enjoying them xx
